26 Million Children: The Hidden Education Crisis

Our plan to address how extreme heat forces mass school closures and how sustainable energy will restore learning opportunities.

Pakistan faces a staggering education crisis with 26 million children already out of school. Climate change is making this crisis worse, with extreme heat forcing temporary and permanent school closures across the country.

When classroom temperatures exceed 45°C, learning becomes impossible and dangerous. Children suffer from heat exhaustion, dehydration, and inability to concentrate. Many schools are forced to close during the hottest months, disrupting education for millions.

Our solar-powered cooling initiative will be specifically designed to address this crisis. By installing solar air conditioning and ventilation systems in schools, we aim to create safe learning environments that can operate year-round, regardless of external temperatures.

Our target is to help schools maintain 95% attendance rates even during peak summer months, compared to 60% in schools without climate control.
